Magna-Tiles® magnetic shapes are the vision of a Japanese mathematics professor who wanted to give his students a more hands-on experience when learning about geometric shapes and concepts. In 1997, Magna-Tiles® were introduced in the United States, with the goals of encouraging unstructured, imaginative play and exposing children to STEM concepts – and the rest is history.
